BEVERLY, Massachusetts- A visit to the hospital over a severe stomachache ends in a sweet surprise for a Massachusetts woman.

ABC News reports, 47-year-old Judy Brown went to Beverly Hospital for abdominal pain. She first thought the pain was a gall stone or blockage, but doctors quickly discovered she was actually in labor.

“It was a little bit scary getting into the hospital thinking something was really bad was going on,” Brown told ABC News. “To understand and take in that was I pregnant and was about to go into labor … it was very overwhelming.”

At this stage in her life, Brown said, it hadn’t occurred to her that she might be pregnant even though her body was going through changes.

The beautiful baby girl was named Carolyn Rose after both of her grandmothers.

The couple, who has been married 22 years, said they had to borrow essential baby items like a car seat just to leave the hospital.
