CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Dozens of people are now behind bars after a massive gang round-up across the city of Cleveland.

In all, 16 adults were indicted, and charges have been filed against three dozen juveniles.

Police from two dozen area departments came together Thursday for the huge round-up. They say the suspects were arrested in connection with a massive crime spree that was targeting people across Northeast Ohio recently.

Prosecutors say the gangs committed various crimes, including breaking into homes, stealing cars and carrying weapons illegally among other things.

A huge amount of the crimes were hitting Cleveland's west side suburbs from Avon Lake to Eastlake and Rocky River to Strongsville.

Investigators say they will continue to look for more people who may be connected to the crime spree. The charges targeted five separate gangs.
