Cleveland committee needs thousands of volunteers for Republican National Convention

CLEVELAND- The Cleveland 2016 Host Committee says it needs about 8,000 volunteers to help before and during the Republican National Convention.

About 3,000 people have already agreed to help during the three-day convention, but more than twice that number are needed.

The host committee said volunteers will serve as wayfinders and greeters, as well as aid in beautification projects.

The RNC runs from July 18 to 21, and features events at Quicken Loans Arena and the Convention Center of Cleveland.
