Woman injured in hit-and-run crash in Akron

AKRON, Ohio- A woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a car in Akron last week.

The 59-year-old victim was in the crosswalk at North Main and Olive streets at about 5:20 p.m. on Oct. 26, police said. That’s when she was hit by a car, which fled the scene.

The woman was taken to Akron General Medical Center.

The car was last seen going south on North Main Street on the All American Bridge. It was described as a gold, older style Chrysler 330 or Dodge Intrepid.
