MOSS BLUFF, Louisiana– A beautiful photo shoot grows even more amazing when a deer decides to join in.
Megan Rion of ‘Imagine That Photography by Megan Rion‘ took the photos at Sam Houston Jones State Park in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. She told FOX 8 they were all set up to photograph baby Conner, when the deer named Maggie, strolled up behind them.
“My assistant then took part of our set-up, an ear of corn, to coax her to look straight. Not only did she look my way, she came up calmly walking towards baby Conner and our set-up. I got a couple shots then we were done.”
Rion explained that Maggie was a rescue dropped off at the park. She doesn’t show up every time they photograph there; she picks and chooses. Rion said Conner’s mom was in awe at how the deer showed up so peacefully, and at how they were able to pose her baby for the amazing shots, which were a surprise for her husband.
Maggie has become popular in other photos, as well. The children are very excited to see the deer– some even call it a horse– but Rion said they are “very calm and endearing around it.” Rion said Maggie makes their photo shoots more magical when she appears.
