Woman killed after being struck by train at Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad

PENINSULA, Ohio – A woman has died after being struck by a train at the  Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, the public information officer from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park confirmed.

The crash happened near Route 303 in Peninsula on Sunday afternoon around 3:30 p.m.

Witnesses say the lights were on and the crossing gates were down, the train was also honking their horn. Several people were yelling at the woman to get off the track.

The incident is still under investigation and is being lead by the National Park Service.
