EUCLID, Ohio -- A python was found slithering in a front yard in Euclid this week, and animal control officers are trying to determine where it came from.

An animal control officer with the Euclid Animal Shelter found the ball python Wednesday night.

The officer said she had no trouble picking it up and transporting it back to the shelter.

She believes the snake is someone's pet based on its condition.

It seems to be well-fed and well-taken care of and measures about three and a quarter feet long.

The snake is being cared for at Herps Alive in South Euclid.
