Cleveland police: Man killed walking from friend’s home

CLEVELAND- The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit is currently investigating the death of a 31-year-old man who was shot and killed Thursday night.

Fourth district officers responded to shots fired and a man down in the yard at 10:20 p.m. Thursday at 3670 E. 61st street.

According to witnesses, the victim was watching TV with friends when he left to walk home alone when shots were fired.

The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and abdomen. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

Police are still searching for the suspects.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
