CLEVELAND- Cavaliers basketball is back in Cleveland.

The Cavs beat the Miami Heat in the wine and gold’s home opener Friday night, 102-92.

Though the downtown atmosphere wasn’t the same as last year’s home opener, many enjoyed the live music and games of fan fest on Gateway Plaza. Those inside Quicken Loans Arena cheered for Anderson Varejao’s return and last season’s underdog Matthew Dellavedova.

LeBron James had 29 points, while Kevin Love had a big game with 24 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Tristan Thompson was another leading scorer for the Cavs, contributing 13 points.
