CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio- Police cited a 51-year-old man during the annual Chagrin Falls Pumpkin Roll Wednesday night.

At midnight, a Ford F-150 was used to dump pumpkins on North Main Street at the top of Grove Hill, Chagrin Falls police said. The pumpkins were thrown and smashed, then dozens of teens went sliding down the hill in sleds and plastic swimming pools.

Officers were at the scene.

David R. Durn, 51, of Chesterland, was cited for placing injurious material or obstruction in the street. He will appear in Bedford Municipal Court on Nov. 18.

There were no other arrests and no injuries were reported.

The pumpkin roll was started in 1969 as a prank by upperclassmen at Chagrin Falls High School.
