MANSFIELD, Ohio - Police have confirmed to Fox 8 that an 11-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with the threats made to Malabar Intermediate School on Wednesday.

The school was evacuated after a bomb threat was found scrawled on the wall of a restroom there on Wednesday afternoon.

There have been several threats made to schools in Mansfield in recent weeks, and authorities held a meeting Thursday night to address those threats.

"District administrators and law enforcement officials will share as much information as possible to answer questions."

According to a notice posted on the district's website, classes were canceled on Thursday at: Mansfield City Schools, John Sherman Elementary School, Prospect Elementary School, Spanish Immersion School, Woodland Elementary School, Malabar Intermediate School, Mansfield Middle School, Mansfield Senior High School and Hedges Campus.

The district's website says that school will be in session Friday at all schools that were closed on Thursday.
