NORTH RIDGEVILLE – Police need your help in catching a man they believe robbed a convenience store in the middle of the afternoon.

The alleged robber thought he had hidden his face, but the security camera found he was a little too late.

Security camera shows, the man walking into the On The Go store in North Ridgeville Monday afternoon. As soon as he enters the building, he covers his face, and demands cash from the clerk.

After getting the cash, he then demands two packs of cigarettes and then runs out of the store.

The clerk was upset and frightened, but not injured.

Lt. Greg Petak says it is unusual for these type of robberies to happen in the quiet community.

“I can’t remember the last time we had one,”said Petak, who has worked at the department for over 20 years.

He asks anyone who may recognize the suspect, or have any information on the robbery to call police as soon as possible.
