Bride rushes into action to save family involved in crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tennessee- Minutes after being announced husband and wife- a bride rushed into action to help her family who were involved in a car accident.

The accident happened on Oct 3 in Montgomery County, Tennessee just two miles from the church where the ceremony took place.

According to News Channel 5 in Tennessee, Sarah Ray and her husband, who are both paramedics, received the call that her grandparents and father were hit by a driver who ran a red light while on their way to her reception.

Thankfully, no one was seriously injured, but Ray’s grandmother was sent to the hospital for evaluation.

“My family comes in from out of town and this happened. I was scared on the way there,” Ray told Channel 5.

Sarah’s mother took the photo of her daughter and shared it on Facebook. The snapshot has received thousands of shares and more than 10,000 likes so far.

“I love this photo because it shows her character and accentuates her beauty,” her mother told Channel 5.

“Anybody in the EMS field would’ve done the same thing. I don’t know that what I did was special,” she said.

“I was just making sure my family was okay … I just happened to be in a wedding dress.”
