LANCASTER, Ohio– Felony charges have reportedly been dropped against an Ohio woman who was accused of hitting her husband with a car and killing him during a domestic dispute.

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office says 40-year-old Angela Luke was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide after her husband, 42-year-old Daniel Luke, was killed Sunday night at their home near Canal Winchester, southeast of Columbus. Angela Luke pleaded not guilty on Tuesday.

The Columbus Dispatch reported Wednesday night that the charges have been dropped with the understanding that they can be filed again if a grand jury decides to indict her. The prosecutor’s office filed a request late on Wednesday that the charges be dropped so more investigating can be done.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, Angela Luke told authorities her husband had beaten her, and he was holding on to the car and was hit as she tried to drive away with their daughters in the car.
