Massillon police arrest suspect in murders of two women

MASSILLON, Ohio- Massillon police arrested a suspect in connection with two murders earlier this year.

Leeroy W. Rogers Sr., 58, was charged with two counts of aggravated murder for the deaths of Kimberly Clupper and Kendra Carnes, Massillon police said. Rogers is being held at the Stark County Jail.

In April, residents discovered 47-year-old Clupper’s body in South Sippo Park. Then in August, the remains of Carnes, 23, of Waynesburg, were found in the area of James Avenue NW and Third Street.

At the time, the Ohio Bureau of the Criminal Investigation told FOX 8 News it was looking into the possibility that the two cases were connected.
