CLEVELAND, Ohio — A fund has been set up for the family of a 5-month-old baby girl shot to death on the east side last night.

Aavielle Wakefield was killed Thursday night while she was sitting the car seat of a vehicle driving near East 143rd Street near Spear Avenue.

Aavielle was with her mother and grandmother during a trip to the grocery store, sources tell Fox 8. At least one person told investigators the gunman shot the wrong car.

No arrests have been made.

A man who says he’s the best friend of Aavielle’s mother set up a GoFundMe.com page for the family.

The baby is the fourth child shot in the city in the past month. Three of those children have died, and the oldest of the victims was 10.
