FNTD Week #5 Game of the Week: The Knights beat the Irish

Our Friday Night Touchdown Game of the Week saw Akron Hoban defeat St. Vincent St. Mary 24-7.  The Knights with plenty of offense and a stingy defense.   Hoban running back Todd Sibley had 24 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown.   Quarterback Danny Clark threw for 139 yards and a touchdown.

The Knights defense shut down the Irish all night.   In the second quarter, Nate Bauer intercepted Dom Davis and took it back 69 yards for a touchdown.   The Irish managed just 48 yards of offense in the second half.

The Irish had won the last eight match-ups between the schools.

Akron Hoban will face Walsh next week as St. Vincent St. Mary travels to GlenOak.
