More people died taking selfies than in shark attacks this year, according to a new study.
According to Mashable, more than one dozen people have dangled from skyscrapers, posed with live explosives and even accidentally shot themselves while taking selfies.
Selfies have exploded in popularity in recent years, with even Queen Elizabeth joining in.
But selfies have also inspired people to push the limits of safety to snap a cool shot.
So far this year, there have been 12 selfie deaths. That’s compared to eight deaths that resulted from shark attacks.
