CLEVELAND- The three-legged cat that was shot with an arrow is improving.

A Good Samaritan found the 6-month-old kitten wandering the streets last week and took him to the Cleveland Animal Protective League. Vets said the arrow was in his neck for about a week and the wound started to heal.

The cat, now named Chance, is with a foster family, who said his kitten behavior has returned. The director of the Cleveland APL said the medical team is waiting for Chance to get a little stronger before they amputate his injured leg.

APL officials said they hope someone comes forward with information on who hurt the cat.
