Cuyahoga Heights vs Hawken

It’s week 4 of the high school football season. Our viewers set a 2015 record for total votes cast in the online race to see which game would be the Friday Night Touchdown Game of the Week.



Nearly 25,000 votes were cast, and the Barberton at Copley match-up won out over Chippewa vs. Rittman by a scant 168 votes.  Copley beat Barberton, 43-26.

The No. 2 team in the Fox 8 Top 8, the Mentor Cardinals, got back on track against Jeff Rotksy and the Euclid Panthers. Mentor won, 37-27.

Two teams in the Top 8 will tangle: The number 6 Middies of Midview took on the number 8 Eagles of Avon and won, 55-35.

The No. 5 Titans of Berea-Midpark were home at Finnie Stadium; they beat Amherst, 34-12.

The No. 7 Mayfield Wildcats had a date with the Willoughby South Rebels.  They scored a victory over Willoughby with a 37-21 win.

Avon Lake headed to Lakewood, and that was a game our Friday Night Touchdown guest host, Patty Harken covered; Avon Lake beat Lakewood, 34-23.

P.J. Ziegler covered Shaker Heights at Pat Catan Stadium in Strongsville. Strongsville scored the win, 27-8.

All in all, over 20 games were featured!
