WESTLAKE, Ohio — A man faces several charges, accused of causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to several properties with spray paint in Westlake.

According to a report from Westlake Police Department, Fadi Lahoud, 26, of Westlake, has been charged with 12 counts each of criminal damaging and criminal trespassing.

Reports state that at about 2:30 a.m. Monday, a resident on Southbridge Circle spotted a man prowling around a neighbor’s yard. Westlake and North Olmsted officers set a perimeter in the area after the suspect ran away.

Six homes and 10 cars were found to have been spray-painted in the area.

One of the victims gave police surveillance footage of the suspect. Police recognized the man as Lahoud. He was found at his home that afternoon and admitted to being the suspect.

Police say the damages run into the tens of thousands of dollars.

Police say Lahoud also admitted to breaking windows and spray-painting a Jehovah’s Witnesses building back in August.
