CLEVELAND - A 3-legged cat is recovering at the Cleveland APL after it was shot with an arrow.

"I've been in animal welfare for a very long time, and I've not seen anything like this," said Alyse Dunlap, Director of Operations at the Cleveland APL.

The 6-month-old kitty was found wandering the streets when a good Samaritan brought him in.

Veterinarians believe the arrow was in the kitty's neck for almost a week and the injury had started to heal around it.

Employees named the kitty Chance and say he has a long road to recovery and are now searching for information on who may have done this.

"We're really hoping that somebody can come forward with some information about this kitten. Perhaps even they know somebody in their neighborhood who shoots a bow and we might be able to track down more information about what happened."
