LOS ANGELES, California– A pup named Aaron now needs a forever home after he was rescued in California.

Hope for Paws says the dog was living under cars in a parking lot for seven months. He was sick and dirty, and he needed someone to love and care for him.

After receiving a call about the animal, Hope for Paws went out to rescue him. They took video of the heartwarming rescue. The sweet pup was understandably frightened, at first.

Founder of Hope for Paws, Eldad Hagar, told ABC News, (Aaron) “was initially very scared. You couldn’t really tell in the video how pink he was, but he lost a lot of his hair and he was miserable. It’s kind of unpleasant to see how he freaks out because he wasn’t touched in all these months. These animals, their only reactions is to run away. For all he knows he’s fighting for his life.  I just want people to think about it as 10 seconds of an extreme stress for a lifetime of happiness.”

Aaron did calm down; he was taken to the hospital where he was bathed and given medical treatment. Hope for Paws says they do not know where Aaron came from, but now he needs a home.  Hagar told ABC News he hopes the video, which has been viewed over 500,000 times, helps Aaron find a home.
