CLEVELAND- The man accused of shooting at Cleveland police earlier this month has been arrested.

The FOX 8 I-Team learned U.S. Marshals picked up Shawn B. Hall without incident at a house on Fleming Avenue shortly before noon on Monday.

“Once the details of this assault on the Cleveland Police were relayed to the members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, our officers made it a priority to locate and safely apprehend this violent suspect. We stand together with the brave men and women of the Cleveland Division of Police, who risk their lives to protect our community,” United States Marshal Peter Elliott said in a news release.

Cleveland police said Hall fired several shots at a marked police car as the officer drove to avoid being hit. It happened on Sept. 1 in the area of East 131st Street and Lenacrave Avenue.

Hall shot seven to nine times in rapid succession, according to police.

No officers were injured and police arrested two drivers at the scene.
