HOOD RIVER, OR - Lila May Show, the 5-year-old girl battling cancer whose town gave her a birthday party, a prom and a wedding all in one day, has lost her battle against the disease.

Lila May's mom posted to her Facebook page Sunday:

Lila was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when she was two years old. She fought her illness until July, when doctors told her parents that her little body was just too weak to stand any further treatments.

That's when Lila's family and town went into action, throwing the little girl a  huge birthday party. Local businesses and townspeople chipped in to provide cakes and carriage rides and a huge room for the combination birthday/prom/wedding party. Lila and her friends wore princess dresses and hundreds of people dressed up as Disney characters to make it a party fit for.....a Lila.

After the party, Lila was able to spend a week in Hawaii. She also got phone calls from actress Kristen Bell, who spoke to her as Anna from "Frozen" and country star Luke Bryan, says People.com.

Lila spent her last days in hospice care with her parents by her side.
