‘Empire’ cast members hold LIVE chat with fans

LOS ANGELES – Season 2 of ‘Empire‘ is set to premiere at 9 p.m. on Fox on September 23.

Before the kick off of the second season, several cast members, producers and creators hosted a live Q&A for fans Saturday night.

The following cast members attended: Terrence Howard (Lucious Lyon), Taraji P. Henson (Cookie Lyon), Jussie Smollett (Jamal Lyon), Trai Byers (Andre Lyon), Bryshere Y. Gray (Hakeem Lyon), Grace Gealey (Anika Calhoun), Kaitlin Doubleday (Rhonda Lyon), Gabourey Sidibe (Becky), Ta’Rhonda Jones (Porsha) and Serayah McNeil (Tiana.)

Creators Lee Daniels and Danny Strong also took part, along with executive producers Ilene Chaiken and Francie Calfo.

At this time, the second season is supposed to run 18 episodes with a possible second run in the spring. The season 1 finale brought in nearly 17 million viewers.

Ne-Yo is going to join the show’s music team for the new season and work alongside returning producer Timbaland.
