PORT CLINTON, Ohio -- A man and a woman are wanted in a rash of thefts after police say they were caught on surveillance video emptying a cash register at a Port Clinton restaurant.

According to a release from Port Clinton Police Department, officers were called on Aug. 16 to investigate a theft from Kokomo Bay. The business is a restaurant that is closed for this summer, but that is connected to another business, the Great Lakes Popcorn Co.

Change used for Great Lakes Popcorn Co. was being stored in a cash register in Kokomo Bay. On Aug. 15, it was discovered that the money was missing.

During the course of the investigation, police learned that on July 3, a man and woman entered through the back door of Kokomo Bay and walked to the cash register in the bar area. The man is seen opening the cash register and taking $182.

The two then left the same way they entered.

The two suspects involved in the theft are also suspected of similar crimes at Salon 53 in Portage Township on July 3 and Karma Salon & Boutique in Sandusky on Aug. 15.

The incidents involved are still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Port Clinton Police Department, Ottawa County Sheriff's Office or the Sandusky Police Department.
