Cleveland police seize dozens of guns, indict 9 suspected gang members

CLEVELAND- Cleveland police say they've seized dozens of guns and indicted nine gang members tied to drugs and violence on the city's northeast side.

For the last six months, Cleveland police have been investigating the Lakeview 2 Locke gang. Investigators said the gang operated off Superior Avenue from East 123rd Street to Locke Avenue.

Police also said they've tied the gang to three murders and 14 shootings.

An indictment handed out by Cuyahoga County prosecutors includes charges for gang activity, weapons, drugs, and more.

Eight of the nine suspects are in custody.
