Cleveland Browns fall to Chicago Bears 24-0 in final preseason game

CHICAGO - The Cleveland Browns fell to the Chicago Bears 24-0 during their final preseason game at Soldier Field in Chicago.

The regular season kicks off on Sunday, September 13 with the Browns taking on the New York Jets.

The first half was mostly uneventful, with both teams having trouble scoring until the second quarter. The Bears scored just a few minutes into the second quarter, taking a 7-0 lead.

They missed a field goal just before halftime though, keeping the score at 7-0.

The Bears were on the board once again a few minutes into the third, adding on to their lead, 14-0. Late in the third, the Bears picked off Thad Lewis, scoring once again to extend their lead to 21-0.

They scored for the final time with a few minutes left in the game, scoring a field goal and making the final score 24-0.

The Browns made several roster moves in the last week in preparation for the final preseason game and the start of the regular season.

Several players sat out including Johnny Manziel as his sore elbow mends.
