BEREA, OH – Two days after his death, the college that actor Kyle Jean-Baptiste attended will remember him in a celebration of his life.

21-year-old Kyle Jean-Baptiste was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University. He made Broadway history this summer when he became the first African-American and youngest person to ever play the role of Jean Valjean on Broadway in “Les Misérables”. A show spokesman said that Jean-Baptiste died Friday night after falling from a fire escape.

Baldwin Wallace’s student government is hosting a vigil Sunday night at 8 p.m.  to celebrate the life and accomplishments of Kyle. The ceremony will be held on the lawn of Marting Hall.
