CARLSBAD, Calif.– A 12-year-old boy is speaking out after a plane hit him in the head while he was walking on Carlsbad State Beach.

In an exclusive interview with ABC News, Nicholas Baer said, “I remember waking up and I’m going to the ambulance and going to the hospital.”

It happened on July 4 when the plane had to make an emergency landing; it tumbled across the beach and hit Nicholas.

According to ABC News, Nicholas suffered a concussion and fractured skull bone; despite that, he only spent four days in the hospital. His head was shaved and his friends shaved their heads, too, to show their support.

Nicholas told ABC News he could do without the nickname his friends gave him after the accident: ‘Miracle Dude.’ He said, “I’m just another person that just got hit by a plane.”
