Alesha Bell, 18, was last seen by neighbors on July 23.

Warren Police Detective Nick Carney says the whole purpose of press conference was to hopefully find the 18-year-old. The woman's family pleaded for her return.

"This is a missing person case and I still believe she is alive," Carney said.

They are hoping Bell was somehow able to watch the press conference and will find a way to come home.

Family members believe the last person Alesha was seen with was James Brooks.

Brooks lives at an Ashtabula home where human remains were found last week. Bell's mother gave police a DNA sample to test against the remains.

Brooks has been arrested on numerous charges including abuse of a corpse.
