KANSAS CITY, Missouri– The Foo Fighters including Warren’s own Dave Grohl put on a show before their Kansas City concert at the Sprint Center Friday night.

The Westboro Baptist Church, known for staging protests against homosexuality at events across the nation, was protesting the band’s show, when the Foo Fighters got in the back of a truck and rolled right up to the protesters, blasting Rick Astley’s ‘Never Going to Give You Up.’ It was a real-life take on the ‘rickrolling’ meme.

People in the truck held signs that read, ‘You Got Rick Roll’d (Again)’ and ‘Keep it Clean.’ Grohl, who is still recovering from a broken leg, clapped along to the song.

The band and the protesters have squared off before.
