ROAMING SHORES, Ohio– The Ashtabula County Coroner's Office confirmed to FOX 8's Suzanne Stratford Thursday night that bones found in a fire pit are human bones, from one, possibly two bodies.

At about 9 a.m. Thursday, narcotics officers entered a home on Route 6 in Roaming Shores. The Ashtabula County Sheriff's Office said they took one person into custody in connection with a drug investigation.

During their search, they found bones in a backyard fire pit and in the woods at the rear of the property.

Authorities are looking into the possibility a missing teenager from Warren may have been in the home. Suzanne also reports the mother of the missing teen is giving her DNA to be sent to a lab to confirm the identity of the remains.
