Police warn residents to lock homes, garages at night after burglaries
BATH TWP., Ohio — Bath Township police are warning residents to lock their windows and doors at night after two overnight break-ins.
According to Bath police, two different residents woke up Monday to find that their homes had been entered during the night while they slept.
Stolen were computers, a big screen TV, a cell phone and cash.
Police say the suspect got into one home through an open garage door and an unlocked door. At the second home, a ground level window had been left open.
One home is located on Beaverbrook Drive and the other on Bath Hills Boulevard. Police believe the burglars tried several other doors in the neighborhood.
Police recommend closing all garage doors and closing and locking all ground level windows and doors leading in to the home.
They say if residents see or hear anything suspicious, they should call police.
