Mentor police recover drugs, $44K in cocaine trafficking investigation

MENTOR, Ohio -- Four people were arrested over the past week in connection with cocaine trafficking in the Mentor area.

According to a release from Mentor police, the arrests were the result of an investigation conducted over several months with help from the Lake County Narcotics Agency and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Darryl L. Howard, 32, of Willowick; Edward M. Hedge, 50, of Cleveland; Lawson D. White, 42, of Mentor; and Gregory A. Bell faces several charges in the case.

The Mentor Police Department has recovered over 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, marijuana and doses of marijuana candy in the investigation.

Authorities also seized over $44,000 in cash, eight guns and three vehicles.
