Video shows persons of interest in murder of Lyndhurst native in Washington D.C.

WASHINGTON D.C.- Police released video on Monday of six persons of interest in the shooting death of Matt Shlonsky.

The Lyndhurst native and graduate of Brush High School was killed during a drive-by shooting on Saturday on 7th Street NW in Washington D.C. Police said they do not believe Shlonsky was the intended target.

The DC Metropolitan Police Department said they are seeking the public’s help identifying six persons of interest and two vehicles. Some of the people in the video are also persons of interest in an Aug. 12 burglary. According to police, the red vehicle featured in the video above has been recovered.

Schlonsky, a graduate of American University, interned with U.S. Sen. Rob Portman.

Anyone with information should call the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099 or text the tip to 50411. Up to $25,000 in reward money is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
