Police search for man who tried to rob Pizza Hut workers at gunpoint

CHESTER TWP., Ohio — Police are looking for the man accused of pulling a gun on workers at a Pizza Hut restaurant and attempting to rob them.

According to police, it happened at just before 8 p.m. Sunday at 12720 Chillicothe Road.

A man entered the restaurant and showed a gun. There were three employees inside and one outside the building at the time. There were no customers in the restaurant.

The suspect left with no money. No one was injured.

The man is described as a dark-skinned black male, 5’8″ tall, between the ages of 25 and 35 years old with a slim build and close-cropped hair.

The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol and Russell and Kirtland police helped with the investigation.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the attempted robbery should call police.
