Man uses stolen car to buy crack cocaine, Willoughby police say

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio- Officers pulled over a Cleveland man on Saturday who admitted smoking crack cocaine.

Willoughby police said they ran a car’s license plates and learned it was reported stolen in Cleveland.

The driver, 61-year-old Ricky Jones, told police the car’s owner let him borrow the car to buy crack cocaine. According to police, Jones was supposed to bring the car and the drugs back to the owner, but said he smoked all the crack himself.

Jones was arrested and his 27-year-old passenger was released.
