APOPKA, Fla. — A woman is in trouble with the law after body cam video shows her 4-year-old son blowing into a breathalyzer for her, according to WFTV.

Doug King, the boy’s father, said he installed the breathalyzer into his wife’s car because she was recently released from rehab. She would have to blow into the breathalyzer before she could start her car.

He also said his son was the one who told him about using the breathalyzer.

“He did whenever I went to pick him up from day care. He usually gets excited to go home in my truck, but whenever I picked him up from day care he wanted mommy’s car because he thought it was a toy,” King said.

April King, 24, was arrested Sunday after she was accused of leaving her 4-year-old in her car while she drank inside a bar.

When police arrived on the scene, she told them she was never inside the bar.

The body cam video shows that King moves to the passenger side of her car as her child picks up her breathalyzer to blow into it.

Doug King said he was out of town when his wife was arrested, but came back as soon as he found out.

King has not yet been charged because police haven’t yet proved that she was ever driving her car while under the influence of alcohol.
