First section of Cleveland Foundation Trail ready to open

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The first section of the Cleveland Foundation Trail is ready to open.

It will connect the 101-Towpath Trail at Scranton Flats to Rivergate Park.

The Cleveland Foundation Trail is the transformation of a 1.3 mile abandoned railroad right-of-way through the West Bank of the Flats.

When it's complete, the trail will run all the way to Wendy Park on Whiskey Island.

The grand opening for the first section of the trail is set for Friday, August 14.
