CLEVELAND -  Over 1,300 runners, some in Oktoberfest garb, took to the streets, of Cleveland Sunday morning.

The iconic Hofbrauhaus hosted a 5K and 10K race, and as one might imagine when the Hofbrauhaus is involved, so was beer. Runners (of age, of course) received a beer and a brat for their efforts. Fox 8's John Telich, himself an avid runner, was the emcee for the race. You can watch his video of the race start above.

Proceeds of the race benefit The Independence Fund,    which works to provide wounded veterans, their families and caregivers with services and resources that they might not otherwise be able to take advantage of.
