MASSILLON, Ohio- The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations is looking into a possible connection after two women were found dead in Massillon this year.

Three people discovered the body of 23-year-old Kendra Carnes, of Waynesburg, in the area of James Avenue NW and Third Street on Wednesday. That’s near the Aqua Ohio treatment plant.

In April, residents found the remains of 47-year-old Kimberly S. Clupper at South Sippo Park.

Ohio BCI spokeswoman Jill Del Greco said agents are working with the Massillon Police Department to follow up on leads.

“Whether or not the two cases are connected is something that authorities are investigating,” Del Greco said.

The Stark County Coroner’s Office has not determined Carnes’ cause of death.
