Lindsey Graham, 60, of Seneca, South Carolina, has served on the U.S. Senate since 2002.

Graham was raised in South Carolina.

After attending law school through the University of South Carolina, he joined the U.S. Air Force reserves, and reached the rank of colonel during his 33-year military career before retiring in June, according to his campaign website.

Graham was elected to the U.S. House in 1994 and to the Senate in 2002.
