One dead in Lorain County motorcycle crash

HENRIETTA TOWNSHIP, OH – A 41-year-old Parma Heights man was killed Saturday when his motorcycle was struck on a road in Lorain County.

Jorge L. Perez was driving his Honda motorcycle on State Route 113 near Gifford Road when a pickup truck ran a stop sign and hit him. Perez was thrown from his motorcycle. Police report that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, which occurred around 6:15 p.m.

The 17-year-old driver of the pickup was not injured. There were no passengers on or in either vehicle.

Neither speed nor alcohol are considered to be a factor in the crash and it remains under investigation by the Ohio Highway Patrol.
