Milwaukee police come up empty after possible lion sighting

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee residents were concerned on Saturday when many claimed to have spotted a ‘lion-like animal’ and police closed several streets while they searched, according to NBC News.

Milwaike police and the Department of Natural Resources responded to the area, but no animal was located. Police did maintain a presence overnight though.

Residents said they saw a lion and her cub on Saturday morning.

A cell phone video showed a blurry image of a large animal, but police couldn’t confirm it was a lion.

The Milwaukee zoo confirmed that all of their lions were accounted for.
