More than 1,500 people attend Wigs for Kids at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

CLEVELAND – The 10th annual Wigs for Kids day at the Cleveland Metroparks zoo and more than 1,500 people came out to enjoy the event.

Patty Fresonke and Zach Twigg traveled all the way from Minnesota for the 5k race and to donate their hair during the cut-a-thon.

There were runners, walkers, hair donors and volunteers at the event and more than $100,000 dollars were raised.

About 90 people had their hair cut as well to provide for wigs.
