Richfield wedding planner accused of stealing $25k from customers appears in court

RICHFIELD - A Richfield wedding planner was escorted into court Wednesday morning, accused of stealing thousands of dollars from his clients.

31-year-old Cory Friedman of Twinsburg surrendered to Richfield Police Monday and spent the night in the Summit County Jail. Investigators said Friedman stole $25,000 from former customers who complained they’d paid for services they never received.

Fox 8’s Lorrie Taylor reports at least 30 people said they’d been victimized by the wedding planner, police suspect there may be more.
