Suspect in North Ridgeville murder-suicide was facing other charges

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH - The suspect in a murder-suicide investigation was facing other charges at the time of his death.

65-year-old Timothy Hoff was identified by North Ridgeville police as the suspect in the death of 62-year-old Donna Roode. Her body, along with Hoff's was discovered in their Laurel Circle home Saturday morning.

"So you kind of wonder, didn't sound like he had the perfect life,” said Chris Murphy, a neighbor speaking about the suspect.

Court records show that Hoff had two pending cases against him in Elyria Municipal Court. One was for gross sexual imposition, which was filed on July 13th. The other was for intimidation, filed  on July 17th.

Police received a 911 call from a woman in the home early Saturday morning. The woman told officers that her mother had been shot. The incident remains under investigation.
