I-Team: 14-year-old boy hoping to learn about county government records altercation at courthouse

RICHLAND COUNTY, Ohio-- Exclusive video obtained by the FOX 8 I-Team, which shows a security officer firing a gun inside a Richland County Commissioner’s meeting, has sparked outrage across social media and the rest of the community.

The photographer who captured the dramatic footage spoke only to the I-Team’s Lorrie Taylor about how close he came to being shot.  Hunter Whistler, 14, said his mother took him to the meeting to learn more about how county government works.  What he saw on July 9 inside the Richland County Courthouse is a lesson he won’t soon forget.
